The decision on whether Champion mare Winx will race on this preparation with a run in the $2m Emirates Stakes has been made with trainer Chris Waller holding a media conference this afternoon to announce the decision.
Champion mare Winx will not head to Saturday weeks Emirates Stakes with the decision to spell the mare being made.
Winx won a record-equalling third Cox Plate last Saturday to extend her winning streak to 22 and her Group One tally to 15.
Winx will return for an Autumn campaign in Australia and if everything goes to plan connections are likely to take her overseas with England the most likely destination.
Hugh Bowman will now ride Gingernuts in the G1 Emirates Stakes on November 11th which is the last day of the Melbourne Cup carnival at Flemington.
