Connections of the Japanese import are believed to have decided against running in the Melbourne Cup after reports of another underwhelming gallop at Warrnambool on Friday morning.
The ommision of Tosen Basil now opens the door for Sydney Cup runner-up Zacada who sits 24th in the Melbourne Cup order of entry.
