Black Caviar’s daughter Ready For Caviar was having her second career start at Pakenham on Monday but she could only beat a few horses home in what was a tough watch for fans of the horse and her backers.
Ready For Caviar ran second at Ballarat on debut and was sent out as favourite in the Maiden Handicap at Pakenham on Monday but weakened badly in the straight to finish at the rear of the field despite sitting in the box seat throughout the race.
Another regally bred colt in the race Mr Raikkonen who is out of champion mare Miss Andretti ran third in the race won by the Jerome Hunter trained Zipping Boy who was making his debut.
