Victorian jockey Tahlia Hope is in intensive care at Frankston hospital on Thursday night after suffering complications from viral meningitis.
The Victorian Jockey Association released a joint statement with Racing Victoria on Thursday evening confirming that the 20-year-old was in intensive care.
“Jockey Tahlia Hope is currently in ICU at Frankston hospital. Doctors have confirmed she has viral meningitis, infection and swelling on the brain,” the statement read.
Hope completed a perfect double at Morphettville last weekend where she scored wins on her only two rides of the meeting.
