Star mare Via Sistina, last year’s Cox Plate champion, is gearing up for a triumphant autumn return, setting her sights on the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Stakes in Sydney.
Yulong’s General Manager Vin Cox has confirmed that while the Australian Cup remains an option, the primary focus is on capturing the top spot at the Queen Elizabeth Stakes after a near miss last year.
Via Sistina is scheduled to trial over 900 meters at Warwick Farm this Thursday, sharing the track with stablemates Manzoice and Lady Shenandoah.
Trainer Chris Waller reports that her preparation has been ideal, noting her excellent condition and appetite.
In addition to Via Sistinaβs campaign, Yulong is also prepping emerging stars like Growing Empire and First Settler for major sprint events, aiming to enhance their stallion profiles with campaigns in races such as the Lightning Stakes and Newmarket Handicap.
With a strategic approach to their racing schedules, Yulong is positioning both their seasoned and emerging talents for a successful season on the Group 1 circuit.
