Tom Prebble is poised to make a return to competitive racing at Bairnsdale on Friday after recovering from a torn ankle ligament suffered in a fall during the Cranbourne jumpouts in May.
The 21-year-old rising star has been diligently working on his rehabilitation and has recently resumed trackwork, signaling his readiness to compete once again.
Prebble, who had been in stellar form before the injury with wins at Warrnambool’s May Racing Carnival, will have seven rides on the Bairnsdale card, including mounts for trainers Nick Ryan, Shane Stockdale, Rebecca Kelly, Andrea Leek, and Clayton Douglas.
Additionally, he has secured a booking to ride Scott Brunton’s Ole Ola at Flemington on Saturday.
