Campbell Rawiller has announced he will hang up his saddle, bringing his riding career to a close at just 24 years of age.
The talented jockey will ride for the last time at Kyneton on Thursday, ending a career that spanned both flat and jumps racing and delivered nearly 200 winners.
The son of legendary jockey Nash Rawiller, Campbell has notched 193 victories during his time in the saddle, with his crowning achievement being his 2023 Australian Hurdle win aboard Circle The Sun.
“I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to live my childhood dream of being a jockey. As my final day approaches in the race saddle, I’d like to say a big thank you to everybody who has been a part of my race riding journey on and off the track, I am very fortunate to have made many life long memories in the saddle across Australia,” Rawiller said in a post on social media.
“Thank you to my family and close friends for always being there through thick and thin times.
“I can’t wait to build new pathways into my life and within the racing industry in the near future, the horses and the racing is my passion and love.”
