The Deputy Premier of NSW John Barilaro has his sights on this years Melbourne Cup with the iconic race listed on the hit list of events Sydney wan’ts to host after Melbourne worsening COVID-19 situation.
The 2020 Melbourne Cup has been listed as one of the events Sydney wishes to hold with Melbourne currently in a lengthy lockdown due to the coronavirus.
John Barilaro wants Sydney to host the AFL Grand Final, Bledisloe Cup and the Melbourne Cup this year with the race to be run at Randwick racecourse.
