The Sydney Cup is likely to be re-run on 22nd April
It is highly likely that the 2017 Sydney Cup will be rescheduled for the 22nd of April after it was abandoned mid race on Saturday due to a fall.
Participants in that field were contacted to see if they would consider running in a rescheduled edition of the race with 11 of those saying they would including the short priced favourite Big Duke.
After contacting all participants from Saturday’s @atc_races feel 11 of the horses would look at running again in Sydney Cup.
