The first Group One of the Australian racing season the Winx Stakes over 1400m at Randwick has attracted a capacity field of quality horses.
The Group One Winx Stakes at Randwick this weekend has attracted ten individual G1 winners in the capacity field although the early market favourite was not one of them with the Team Hawkes trained Master Of Win the early elect in betting with the TAB.
Group One winners Dreamforce, The Bostonian, Avilius, Fierce Impact, Kolding, Verry Elleegant, Melody Belle, Con Te Partiro, Flit and Funstar headline the field in what is set to be one of the best quality races of the season.
Fourteen horses in the Winx Stakes field of 16 plus two emergencies are resuming, headed by multiple Group One winner Verry Elleegant.
One of the early favourites the Chris Waller-trained Funstar has been paid up for the Winx Stakes and the Show County Quality (1200m) in which she would face a rematch with arch rival Probabeel.
