Star NZ two year old Al Hasa will not make the trip to Sydney to contest the Golden Slipper with owner David Ellis saying he will be kept until the Spring.
There were talks of Al Hasa heading to Sydney for the G1 Golden Slipper where he was 32nd in order of entry but the decision has been made to keep the son of Exceed And Excel for the Spring where he will target the 2000 Guineas.
Al Hasa won the Welcome Stakes by a massive margin of six lengths before running fourth in the Eclipse Stakes and second in the Karaka Million.
