Star two-year-old filly Sneaky Five has been removed from the field in Saturday’s $2m Inglis Millennium.
Connections of the Inglis Banner and Golden Gift winner have decided not to progress with an Autumn campaign with the star filly with the intention to give her a long break before a Spring campaign.
“She’s bred to be a three-year-old, she’s bred to be a Thousand Guineas horse, and I think what we got out of her before Christmas was a real bonus,” Rosemont director Anthony Mithen told the Moody on the Mic podcast.
“Fastnet Rock filly by an Oaks winner (Small Minds), we just felt if we cook her now, we aren’t doing the right thing by the animal.”
Sneaky Five was the $8.50 equal second favourite in Inglis Millennium odds prior to the announcement she would not be running.
