The last day of the Flemington carnival has plenty of Championship contests.
In the G1 Champions Stakes (2000m) we see some of the Cox Plate rivals go around again such as Fangirl ($8), Zaaki ($6) and Duais ($6) while West Wind Blows ($3.50) has form all around the best horses.
It may not be a large field in the end in the G1 Champions Sprint (1200m) but it’s mostly the top drawer. Imperatriz ($1.75 favourite with online bookmakers) is finally away from Moonee Valley to challenge In Secret ($4), Star Patrol ($15) and maybe the 3yo Shinzo ($26).
More of the Cox Plate runners are likely in the G1 Champions Mile (1600m) with Mr Brightside ($3) and Alligator Blood ($3.50) to mix it again and Pride Of Jenni ($15) might chase G1s in consecutive weeks.
A potential sign for the Cup in twelve months could be in the G3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) and horses like Ladies Man ($11), So Dazzling ($11) and Muramasa ($6) are in form.
The mares tackle a strong G2 Matriarch Stakes (2000m) with Atishu ($4) hard to beat along with some kiwi form via Mustang Valley ($15) and Pearl Of Alsace ($4.50).
