Jockey Elissa Meredith is continuing to improve after her fall at Gunnedah earlier in July.
Meredith was seriously injured in a bad fall at Gunnedah on Monday, 4th July but is showing positive signs and is walking more and is also starting to eat on her own. Doctors are hopeful that her feeding tube will be removed in the next few days.
Elissa suffered two contusions on her brain during the fall and was taken to ICU to be monitored, where she was intubated and in an induced coma.
