The Queen Elizabeth Stakes will definitely be Winx's last race
Winx’s managing owner Peter Tighe has this morning put to rest all speculation that Winx may race on overseas after her run in today’s Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes saying it will definitely be her last.
Rumours had surfaced throughout the week that the Champion mare could head to Royal Ascot to race after her run in today’s Queen Elizabeth Stakes but talking on RSN this morning owner Peter Tighe has squashed those rumours.
“This will be her last race.” Tighe said.
Winx is the $1.06 favourite in today’s race with the Racing World set to have their eyes locked on her for the duration of the 2000m race.
