Nature Strip has stakes his claim for the $14 million Everest with an impressive win in the Moir Stakes
Nature Strip has made amends for his last-start failure to stake his claim for the $14 million Everest with victory in the Group One Moir Stakes at The Valley.
Ridden by James McDonald, the Chris Waller-trained quirky speedster settled well and took control rounding the turn, beating Miss Leonidas and Sunlight.
Waller said Nature Strip would have no trouble stepping up to 1200m from the 1000m of the Moir with his next start likely to be the Schillaci Stakes which guarantees the winner a start in the Everest at Randwick on October 19.
