Despite running near the rear of the field as favourite in Saturday’s PB Lawrence Stakes trainer Adam Trinder has said it is full steam ahead with Mystic Journey towards the G1 Memsie Stakes.
Mystic Journey jumped as the heavily backed $4 favourite with Neds in Saturday’s PB Lawrence Stakes at Caulfield but failed to finish in the placings which was dictated by horses on the speed.
Adam Trinder thinks the run will bring on his star mare and she will show a lot of improvement and will be peaking in the Memsie Stakes in a fortnights time.
Mystic Journey raced wide throughout the the PB Lawrence before weakening late to finish eight in the eleven horse field won by Godolphin mare Savatiano.
The star Tasmanian mare is a $6.50 chance with Sportsbet in early Memsie Stakes odds.
