6 Trafalgar Square (Bet Now:  $SP.00) had her first run for Team Munce over 1200m here a few weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. Good upside to come and rising to 1350m, she’s one of the hardest to beat.

11 Zoustrology (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix for Jack Bruce. He was off a mini break when racing over 1200m here, sitting on speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late. Fitter and up in trip, he only runs well.

1 Red Defcon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over 1350m at Doomben when off speed and kept chasing but did seemingly have her chance behind Midnight Dynamite. Back to this level, she can run an improved race at odds.

4 Sosino (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating for Team Archibald after a dominant win at Doomben last start, getting a sweet sit in behind the speed before being clicked up and away he went to win and win in dominant fashion. Hard to beat against these.

6 I’m Heroic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door. He was 1800m back to 1400m at the Gold Coast last start and tried hard but had no answers for Blitzburg. Back up in trip, he likes Ipswich, he’s a clear winning threat.

14 Addition (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and she can go on with it. That win came over this trip at Doomben, sitting off speed and coming with a well timed run to score. Her confidence is up, she can win again for sure.

6 Daggers (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong since joining Tony Gollan and is one of the hardest to beat. Too good for them at the Gold Coast two back before a solid third to Bengal Diamond three week ago at Eagle Farm after doing early work. Good racing style, he’s a leading contender here.

3 Ouroboros (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at 1350m but has a good racing style and isn’t far off a win. He ran over 1200m at Doomben last start when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. He lands near the front and should run a positive race.

2 Robrick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1350m after racing over 1200m here last time when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat. Like the rise in trip and if within range, he’s dangerous against these.

1 Rattle And Hum (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in what looks an open contest. He has had two runs back, the latest behind The Irish when off speed, ridden negatively, and just whacked late. Think with a more positive ride, he can run a much improved race.

5 Chillaxing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an impressive winner here two back before going to Doomben where she was ridden warm, leading, and tired late to finish down the track behind The Irish. Think with a more patient steer, she can run an improved race.

4 Captain Maverick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 2500m after racing over 2200m at Doomben last time behind The Irish. He got into a decent spot just behind the speed and thought he had his chance but just whacked late. Firmer deck, more patient steer, he’s an improver.

6 Shot Of Whiskey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat after an all the way triumph at Doomben at this trip, leading throughout and had enough in hand to score. Good racing style and will look the winner for a long way.

13 Surprise Honey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a mare who I have been keen on her past couple. Think she cost herself two back by wanting to lay in under pressure then last start, I thought she had every possible and whacked late. Back to this level, she can bounce back.

8 Social Outcast (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Matty Dunn trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since the Magic Millions Subzero when far from disgraced in defeat behind Snitzanova. 1200m is on the short side but has trialled well and should be strong late. One for exotics.

3 Call Da Vinci (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since contesting the Fred Best, trying to get into the Stradbroke. He got back to near last in the run and made up some headway but was never threatening. Back to this level, if he has petrol in the tank, he is a clear top seed.

4 Hillier (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a total forgive in the Fred Best for mine. Ridden very warm to land near the speed, he tried hard but just felt the pinch late when down the track. Back a fair way in overall depth, he’s a definite improver.

11 Smexy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1350m after racing in the QLD Day Stakes two weeks back. She got dragged back to near last in the run and made up some ground but was never a winning threat. If she can be ridden with more intent, she’s dangerous.

4 Belvedere Boys (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating here for Matty Dunn. Just think he got too far back at Rosehill three weeks ago in the Lord Mayors Cup, working home strongly from off speed when a close up fourth to Portland. Form reads well and compared to previous years, this is one of the worst editions of the Ipswich Cup I can remember.

3 Encoder (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was close up three weeks back in the Lord Mayors Cup at Eagle Farm, sitting near the speed and tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite get there behind Athanatos. 2150m is ideal, and he drops a long way in depth.

14 Cavalry Man (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like 2150m will be no issue for him. Got a beaut ride at Eagle Farm two weeks back and duly saluted, finishing best from off speed to get the job done. He’s in career best form IMO and this is a race well within reach.

2 Cifrado (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the better bets across Australia for the weekend IMO. He wouldn’t have looked out of place in the Stradbroke, and that is where he would have been if he had another stride in the BRC Sprint, just missing when second to Abounding. He’s flying, he’ll be strong late…unless there is a savage up/in bias I am very keen.

12 Dance To The Boom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was met with market support at odds when resuming in the Helen Coughlan three weeks ago. She got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish it off. Fitter, her best is good enough.

I will have something each way on 10 Metalart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) because if he wins and I didn’t have something on…good lord. He’s pretty much had three barrier trials to start this prep, the latest in the Moreton Cup where he was back near last and in a sit/sprint, was never a factor. He’s flying IMO and can run well at odds with a positive ride.

16 Silver Wedding (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after a brilliant first up win at Eagle Farm three weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating over 1000m to win and win well. Fitter, 1200m, she’ll be strong late and off her return, is clearly the one to beat IMO.

10 Naifah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a filly racing really well at present for the Price/Kent team. She sat on speed in the Helen Coughlan and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. If she gets across without spending petrol tickets, she’s dangerous.

3 Cigar Flick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a total forgive in the Helen Coughlan three weeks back at Eagle Farm. She just got a bit too far back, had to save ground nearer the inside and was solid without threatening. If the breaks go her way, she can win.

LONG SHOT: Race Four Number 1 Rattle And Hum
