It was a day to remember for Matthew Poon at Sha Tin on Sunday with the former Australian jockey riding four winners on the card.
Matthew Poon was the first Hong Kong apprentice to ride in South Australia and he made his mark on the state becoming a bit of a cult hero around the tracks and on Sunday he cemented himself as a jockey to watch in the most competitive riding environment in the world.
This wasn’t the first time the HK jockey has ridden four in the country but his first four timer since 2017 where he did so at Happy Valley.
