Following an incident during trackwork at Pakenham on Thursday morning, Luke Nolen was transported to the hospital.
The 43-year-old jockey was involved in a fall and complained of lower back pain.
The VJA issued an update on Thursday morning, stating that Nolen was being transported to the hospital with lower back pain after the fall at Pakenham trackwork.
Nolen, a 39-time Group 1 winner, had been scheduled to ride at Pakenham on Thursday night and The Valley on Friday night.
