Dual Group 1 winner Jimmysstar has officially been locked in for the 2025 edition of The Everest, securing TAB’s slot in a bid to emulate the success of Bella Nipotina last year.
In a familiar and proven partnership, Tabcorp has again teamed up with leading trainer Ciaron Maher, with Jimmysstar now set to represent the pair in the $20 million sprint feature at Randwick on October 18.
The rising six-year-old has quickly risen to prominence among Australia’s elite sprinters, producing standout victories in both the Oakleigh Plate and All Aged Stakes during the autumn carnival.
TAB’s general manager of trading and data, Dave Beirne, expressed confidence in their selection, emphasising that Jimmysstar was the ideal candidate to keep their winning momentum going.
“Jimmysstar’s versatility and class make him the perfect fit for our Everest slot. We were thrilled with Bella Nipotina last year, and we believe Jimmysstar gives us a great chance to go back-to-back,” Beirne said.
