I Am Invincible is getting ready for a significant number of mares this spring at Yarraman Park in the Hunter Valley.
However, there’s another retired champion, Incentivise, who will also be residing in the lush paddocks of Yarraman Park.
Unlike I Am Invincible, Incentivise earned his fame on the racetrack during the 2021 Spring Carnival in Melbourne, winning three Group 1 races and finishing second in the Melbourne Cup.
Now, in his retirement, he will be responsible for looking after the future offspring of I Am Invincible as they begin their journeys into the world of racing.
With Incentivise’s important role as a companion to the racehorses, his calm and relaxed temperament makes him ideal for the job.
During the upcoming breeding season, he will be in charge of a paddock of foals when they are weaned from their mothers, providing them with comfort and stability during the stressful period.
Yarraman Park’s general manager, Matt Scown, expressed excitement about Incentivise’s role and the farm’s busy time ahead as they prepare to foal down approximately 145 mares.
The farm is gearing up for an exciting season, starting with the mares going under lights soon.
