Telemon stand her sire Sidestep and after she won the Gr 1 Golden Slipper and placed in the Gr 1 Sires’ Produce Stakes, they upped their ante.
Because noms started flowing in. His book will be capped at 160 mares, a figure that will be easily met at his attractive $22,000 fee.
“And I just didn’t want to lose people so we had to find a second stallion.”
So he turned to Darley again – and they’ve helped out.
They will lease their multi hemisphere Gr 1 winning sprinter Jungle Cat to them.
And what a boon to Qld and ultimately Australian racing he will be.
Jungle cat is by the Champion and prolific 2Yo getter in Ifraaj from the Forest Wildcat stakes winner named Mike’s Wildcat.
And what is even more appealing about this stallion is the fact his mother had 9 to race for 8 winners – that there is a wonderful sign for success, while Jungle Cat himself started 33 times winning 8 and placing another 13 times, mostly all at Group level. Hardy, speedy, tough and strong.

“It’s a race that we all know well through Buffering winning it,” said Heather.
He won the Gr 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes in Australia over 1400m and was stakes placed again, and on top of his glorious Dubai Gr 1 where he beat a subsequent Gr 1 Breeders Cup Turf winner, he had placed at Gr 1 in England.
His father’s blood has worked superbly in New Zealand, giving us the brilliant Gingernuts as well as Ribchester, Gr 1 Derby winner Jon Snow and Turn me Loose.
Telemon will stand him at a very, very affordable $12,000 for his opening season.
