The early favourite for Saturday’s Ballarat Cup ‘Admiral’s Joker’ will not line-up in the race after his trainer was not happy with his work.
Trainer Kylie Vella has announced her star galloper Admiral’s Joker who headed Ballarat Cup odds on Tuesday will not accept in the final field on Wednesday after his jockey Steven Vella was not quite happy with his work on Tuesday morning.
Admiral’s Joker was heavily backed in all-in Ballarat Cup markets shortening from $8 into $4.50 prior to the announcement.
Admiral’s Joker was an impressive winner of the Seymour Cup before finishing a close second to Reykjavik in the Catham Stakes. Reykjavik is a leading contender in the G1 Railway Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
The Ballarat Cup Final Field will be announced on Wednesday.
