Railway Stakes Information

The Railway Stakes is a Group One race held at Ascot Racecourse each year over 1600m and is known to be Western Australia’s most coveted event.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $1,000,000 making it the richest event in Perth’s Summer Carnival.

The 2018 Railway Stakes will be run on Saturday the 24th of November, 2018 at Ascot Racecourse.

The Railway Stakes often attracts many of the class horses following up from their Spring Carnival campaign on the East Coast of Australia.

The Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes and Group 3 RJ Peters Stakes are common lead up races for many of the local gallopers looking to tackle the the Railway Stakes.
