Doubt cast over Caulfield Cup favourite

Doubt has been cast over whether or not the Caulfield Cup favourite Bonneval will line-up in Saturday’s race after pulling up lame with lacerations in today’s Caulfield Stakes.

Bonneval started the day as the $4.80 favourite for the 2017 Caulfield Cup but after today’s running of the Caulfield Stakes there is serious doubt to whether she will line-up in the race with more to be known tomorrow.

Bookmakers had pushed her quote out to $5.50 in markets after her run in the Caulfield Stakes where she finished sixth.
