Team Williams has purchased a stake in one of Saturday’s International Caulfield Cup runners.
Irish horse Sir Isaac Newton will carry Lloyd Williams’ navy and white colours in the Caulfield Cup with the Australian businessman joining Coolmore in the ownership.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained five-year-old is on the fourth line of betting at $12 for Saturday’s $3 million handicap over 2400 metres.
Williams, his wife Susie and son Nick, are now partners with Sue Magnier and Michael Tabor in Sir Isaac Newton.
The horse has had 12 career starts for 3 wins with his feature race win being in the Group 3 Finlay Volvo International.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has been vocal in saying the horse is not in his top ten horses in training yet still believes he can win the Caulfield Cup.
Sir Isaac Newton is a $13 chance in Caulfield Cup betting to win the $3million dollar race.
The sale price is not known though Lloyd has stated the horse will remain in Australia and is likely to head to the Mackinnon Stakes after the Caulfield Cup.
