The rumours surrounding the result of the Andrew Ramsden Stakes have been squashed with Racing Victoria announcing that the samples from the horses have been completed and prize money has been paid.
Rumours in the racing circles were suggesting there may have been a positive result to the samples which was causing a delay in prize money being paid although those rumours are safe to say are false with monies paid.
Racing Victoria will be introducing a new set of rules on August 1st which some thought was the reason for the delay in finalising the swabs.
The Andrew Ramsden Stakes carried with it ballot free entry into the Melbourne Cup which increased the interest in the situation with winner Steel Prince holding a ticket into the 2019 Melbourne Cup.
