Despite it being late in the two-year-old season fans may have witnessed one of the best at Scone on Friday.
The Kris Lees trained The Bopper was the short priced $1.45 TAB favourite for the Inglis Challenge at Scone and he didn’t let punters down winning with a leg in the air despite having to overcome the outside barrier.
The Bopper was coming off an impressive Tamworth win prior to the race but there was a big spruce on the gelding by Nicconi and it was justified winning with ease.
There will obviously be questions about who he beat on Friday but the horse definitely has a lot of ability and looks like he could have given some of the feature 2YO races eg Golden Slipper, Blue Diamond a shake if he was racing at the time.
