Desperate times call for desperate measures….or necessity is the mother of invention.
Watch this video.
Oh just combine them, mum is desperate. We are all desperate to bet.
Jamaicans, who, like Aussies and those across the world who love to punt, have taken to a racetrack of a different type in order to bet.
No horses…no problem, yuh seet (thatโs Jamaican Patois talk for….you see it.)
They have built a racetrack and use playing cards for betting. And they bet, donโt worry about that.
They shuffle the deck and with a heart in one lane, a spade in the next, a club and a diamond, all runners are set.
You bet on the suit that wins.
As each card is turned over the horse advances a length.
And they cheer like they are at the track.
It reminds me of the battery operated game many of us had as kids. Six tiny little coloured horses and the track agitates up and down to determine the winner.
I understand you can still buy that game on Amazon. I think I will.
But Iโm having a crack at this one too with some mates.
โJesum Peeze, a cyan bleve dat mi love de game.โ (Oh my, I canโt believe I love this game!)
