Judges in TAB’s latest unique promotion for customers face a huge task in deciding who will win a share in a Magic Millions horse next month, after being overwhelmed by entries over the first few days of the competition.
A group of four mates will win $50,000 to contribute to the yearling purchased by Champion Thoroughbreds and prepared by prominent Sydney trainer, John O’Shea if successful. The lucky winners will also have their training fees covered by TAB for the first three years.
All you have to do is explain in 25 words or less why your punters club is the best in Australia when you enter the competition with TAB.
“If you can’t tip a winner in your punters club then this might be the ultimate way to contribute,” said SKY Racing Presenter Ally Mosley, who will be on the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions sales and Queensland’s richest race day.
“All you have to do is explain why your punters club is Australia’s best when you enter the competition with TAB and you could win a share in a potential champion, trained by one of the best in the business, from one of the biggest sales of its kind.
“There’s nothing like the thrill of having your own runner in a race so it’s an amazing prize.”
“Not to mention five nights on the Gold Coast and corporate tickets to one of the most iconic tracks and race days in the world as well,” Mosley said.
O’Shea will saddle up the in-form Hell I Am (pictured below with SKY Racing’s Ally Mosley) in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas before searching for another star to add to his stable.
“It’s great of TAB to bring genuine racing fans along on the journey as an owner,” O’Shea stated.
“The team at Champion Thoroughbreds have proven time and again to be astute judges of yearlings and are brilliant at guiding shareholders through ownership, so the prize winners are in good hands.
“We’re always on the lookout for quality pedigrees, and it will be great to follow their purchase from the Magic Millions sales ring all the way to the following year’s Magic Millions Classic or a Group One if we’re lucky enough.”
Even before winning the Magic Millions 3-4YO Stakes at Wyong last week, Hell I Am was the best backed with TAB to claim the second of the two-million-dollar features on January 14.
He is outright favourite from Russian Conquest ($7) and Garza Blanca ($8) and holds around 15 percent of the total investment on the race, having shortened from $26 into $6 since markets opened.
