Black Caviar will have eight rivals in Saturday’s Group Two Schillaci Stakes at Caulfield where she will bid to equal Phar Lap’s record of 14 consecutive wins.
The Peter Moody-trained unbeaten champion will resume in the 1000-metre sprint and has drawn barrier five.
She was a comfortable winner of the race first-up last year and since then has won six Group One races.
The Schillaci will be her first run since the BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben in May.
Her rivals will include speedy filly Karuta Queen, who drew gate eight, and Black Caviar’s stablemate Kulgrinda who will jump from barrier six.
Regular jockey Luke Nolen, who has ridden Black Caviar in 10 of her 13 wins, will again be aboard on Saturday.
