Champion mare Winx will make her racetrack return this Saturday in the Group Two Apollo Stakes at Randwick and bookies expect her to win opening her at $1.12 in all-in markets.
Winx will be aiming for her 30th straight win in the Apollo Stakes, a race she won in 2016 and 2017 but missed last year when her regular jockey Hugh Bowman was suspended.
Following the Apollo Stakes, Winx is expected to try to claim the Group One treble she has won for the past two years – the Chipping Norton Stakes, George Ryder Stakes and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
