After an eye catching first up effort at Colac, the Darren Weir trained Star Circle has been the best backed runner with Sportsbet.com.au to take out the Crown Golden Ale Handicap (1400m) this Wednesday at Sandown.
The daughter of Strategic resumed at Colac and worked home strongly late to run fourth to stablemate Invincible Me, who went on to run well during the Warrnambool Carnival. She opened $12 and now sits at $9.50.
Favourite for the race is New Summer Night at $5 after opening $5.50 and holds sway ahead of Quilate at $5.50.
