TAB punters continue to come for Rothfire in the Shorts with the Queenslander firming $7 into $5.50 quickly after the Final Field market was posted. The TAB Everest contender opened at $8.00 in Monday’s All-In market before being swiftly backed into $5.00.
TAB’s Everest slot holder Lost and Running has also attracted some early money shortening from $9 in to $7, while Nature Strip has drifted slightly from $2.30 out to $2.40 but remains favourite for the 1100m race.
There was early support for Verry Elleegant who firmed to $2.10 before settling at $2.20, for the Group 1 George Main Stakes followed by Think it Over who has firmed from $6 into $4.40.
In Melbourne, Behemoth has been swiftly backed in to $5.50 after opening at $7 for the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes and favourite Beau Rossa has firmed the $4.40 in to $4.20.
