Punters quick to back favourite in the Adelaide Cup

The class of the field, Persan, heads the Ladbrokes.com.au for the Adelaide Cup (3200m) this Monday at Morphettville in what shapes up to be an even contest.

The Maher/Eustace camp have two strong chances in the field, including Persan, who is favourite and been well supported, into $5 from $6.50, and holds the call alongside his stablemate.

That stablemate is Grand Promenade, who ran second in the Lord Reims, the key lead up. They and Highland Jakk ($6.50) are the only runners at single figures, with next best being Aurora’s Symphony and True Marvel at $11.
