Sportsbet.com.au reports strong support for Happy Trails, who won the race last year.
Happy Trails is $7.00 for the Turnbull, with Lucia Valentina heading the betting on $5.00.
“It looks a great race and it’s not going to be a walk in the park for Happy Trails, but punters like him. He’s had more money placed on him than every other horse put together,’’ sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson said.
Outsider Gris Caro ($21) has also had support. Puissance De Lune ($7.00), second last year, is friendless.
In good news for punters, sportsbet will refund losing bets if your horse runs second or third.
