After a strong maiden win at Doomben, General Assault looks the one to beat with Sportsbet.com.au punters this Saturday in the Kiyomi @ Jupiters Handicap (1200m) at the Gold Coast.
The gelding ran over this trip on a bottomless Doomben surface a tick over two weeks ago and ran through it best for a good win. There is a question mark on a few runners here, so it’s no surprise to see this horse backed. He opened $3.20 and now sits at $2.90.
First starter My Crimson Lad has been slightly easy, out to $4.20 from $4, as have several other runners under double figures, so it looks one way traffic at the moment.
