Ellsberg is favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Shannon Stakes (1500m) this afternoon at Rosehill in what is shaping up to be an intriguing contest.
The Ryan/Alexiou trained five year old was luckless fresh in the Theo Marks but with Tim Clark back on, he should find the front, get control and take beating. Opened $3.50 and has been crunched, into $2.80.
The clear firmer has been another speed runner, Surf Dancer, who is at $4.80 in from $8.50. First up winner Old Flame is rock solid at $5.
