Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Newcastle Race One Number 12 Pippa Charlotte ($6.50):
Daughter of Not A Single Doubt that has had three trials to get ready for start one. First two trials were okay, but the stable slapped the Blinkers on in her third trial and she was impressive on speed. Think she can get away with this and am a bit surprised she isn’t closer to favourite.
Newcastle Race Four Number 15 Anethole ($26):
I’ll go the way of Anethole, who last raced in the Kosciuszko. He had the back of the winner It’s Me but just didn’t have the turn of foot to go with her, but closed off well enough and was strong through the line in a good effort. Tick over trial was encouraging and with the claim, he’s really well in. He’ll be strong late.
Newcastle Race Five Number 6 Occupy ($15):
Was good two back at Canterbury before racing over 1900m here in the Cessnock Cup where the tempo was farcical and those behind, including this guy, really had no chance of winning. He’s going well and a genuine tempo should see him prove strong late.
Sandown Race Eight Number 9 Scarlet Dream ($34):
I’m more than happy to speck Scarlet Dream at a big price. On paper, this race has no leader so I anticipate this will be an absolute crawl and it could come down to a turn of foot. This mare saves her best for races where the tempo is soft and she can use a turn of foot, which was the case last Saturday in the Queen Elizabeth when an eye catching fourth to True Self. Going well I reckon and she’s worth a small each way ticket.
