Caulfield Race Four Number 2 Miss Gunpowder ($5.00):
She should be favourite. This time last year she was running really good races in the Thousand Guineas as well as the Prelude. Horror ride beat her first up, form out of it has held up, senior jock aboard, good draw…$5 seems tempting to my eye.
Randwick Race Three Number 6 Echo Effect ($18):
He isn’t in my top three, but I can guarantee he won’t start $18. Overcame a slow tempo to win fresh, running his last 600m in 32 and change, before going to Wyong where he led and dashed clear. Lot to like about him and the $18 seems crazy odds. Should be around the $10 mark.
Eagle Farm Race Four Number 7 Hammoon Boy ($26):
Really consistent galloper for Sue Grills who comes here with some really good beside his name at the NSW country area. This is a very even race, he draws gate, hard fit and handles all conditions. $26 on offer looks very appealing and should be snapped up.
Morphettville Race One Number 2 Arrow Lane ($7.00):
The more they win, the better they pay is how it usually goes, and Arrow Lane fits that bill. He is racing so well at the moment and comes off a super win here last Saturday where he savaged the line and really wanted the victory. Meets a couple of handy types, but $7 for a horse who is proven in town with only 54.5kg on his back looks a great bet.
