Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find a runner from each city that appears overs in betting.
Caulfield Race Two Number 9 Peacock ($21):
$21 for a horse of his quality does seem quite attractive. He closed off pretty well I thought last time out at Flemington behind Inside Agent and yet he is twice the price of that runner, which seems odd. Draws a soft gate and I’ll be shocked if he isn’t in the finish.
Randwick Race Four Number 5 Budderoo Knight ($21):
$21? Really? Dear me…I had him marked around a $10 chance, so the $21 is something I am keen to lap up. Resumes here for Robert Price off what I thought was an outstanding trial at Nowra, and keep in mind that at the end of last prep, he was beaten by two subsequent city performers/winners at Kembla Grange, so he has decent provincial form, not just country.
Eagle Farm Race Seven Number 1 Bourbon Road ($17):
He might be well suited at the weights, but I loved his win last Wednesday at Gold Coast. He had to do a fair bit of chasing in the straight and nearer the inside, which is difficult to do at that track, but he really attacked the line and got the job done. He’ll love the step up in trip as well as the bigger track. $17 seems great odds.
Morphettville Race Two Number 2 Double Pockets ($11):
Really surprised to see this horse at double figures despite the fact he he was a super last start winner. He sat wide no cover for the trip yet ambled to the front soon after straightening and went on with it impressively. Draws much better here, hard fit..should be single figures for sure.
