Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Scone Race One Number 8 Power Of Wexford ($27):
Big fan of Power Of Wexford and confident she can measure up against these. On class and weights, she’s poorly weighted given her racing alongside some of these, but she’s just got so much upside and her fair share of talent. She really had no right to win first up at Muswellbrook given where she was in the run but she savaged the line late to win on the peg. Big track, good speed, 1400m, run under the belt…plenty to like.
Scone Race Five Number 14 Snow Valley ($12):
This looks just about the race of the Carnival. Stack of depth here but going the way of the Matty Dunn trained Snow Valley, who is resuming. 3/3 to start her career, the latest coming at the Gold Coast (Metro) when sitting off the speed and despite taking a little while to wind up, but loved the way she attacked the line to win. Has looked great in a couple of trials, she’ll lap up a good speed and be strong late.
Scone Race Six Number 1 Deploy ($13):
Deploy is a talented sprinter for the Gerald Ryan stable resuming. He had a three run Summer prep and ran okay but it looked more to get his fitness up for a potential Winter prep, eyeing off Brisbane potentially. Can sprint well fresh and does have class when right. Trial win was in sharp time, especially the last 600m and I thought the second trial was pretty good as well. Has class on these so giving him respect.
Scone Race Seven Number 11 Into The Abyss ($8):
D-Day, D-Day, D-Day for Into The Abyss. John Thompson has this girl flying. Just needs to put a win on the board now and am confident she can get the job done. Should have won the James Carr last time out but just had no luck in the straight when seemingly full of running. Got out and would have won in another hop, running second to Laburnum. Form has been good from that race, 1400m, good speed, spacious track…surely it’s her time to shine.
