1. Not Usual Glorious: He is the best horse in the race and class is going to carry him a long way. Brave effort in the Swan Hill Cup last time, that reads very well for a race like this.

2. Zouatica: Attempted to lead throughout at Rosehill last time and gave a very strong kick but was nabbed late by Thunderlips. He’ll slide across, sit outside Not Usual Glorious and only run well I say.

3. Prince Of Helena: He has won the past two editions and looks to be cherry ripe for a three peat, catching the eye last start at Flemington behind the in form Jimmy The Bear. He’ll take beating, especially from the inside gate.

4. Hot Bandit: Looked the winner when asked for the effort at Warwick Farm last time but had no answers late for the finale of Travolta. Hard to knock the way he’s racing.

5. Just Go Bang: Plain return at Randwick, not looking at him as a winning prospect.

6. County Kilkenny: Been up forever it seems like and is racing okay but not well enough to trouble these.

7. Yam: Stable has this gelding absolutely flying at present. He has won three on the bounce, the latest being a dominant win at Bendigo. Keen to see how he goes at this level.

8. Copperfield: Kept on ice since a win over 1400m at Albury, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive performance. Trial win last week was sharp, knockout hope.

9. Louie’s Legacy: Kept finding the line in a good return fresh at Canberra Acton but this is much harder.

10. Marsabit: He wasn’t too bad in defeat last time at Randwick, but Bar Plates on…no no no.

11. Jannik: Plain behind Copperfield at Albury, not for me.

12. Mathrin: Such a reliable mare, but just not sure she can meausre up to this level.

13. Wings Of Carmen: Nice horse but not here.

Not Usual Glorious loves to get front end control and roll on speed so I suspect he leads, with Zouatica outside him. Outside that pair, I can’t see much front end pressure. Perhaps Copperfield and Prince Of Helena are the second pair back?
