Kiwi mare Imperatriz short odds in the Canterbury Stakes

Classy Kiwi mare Imperatriz is the Ladbrokes.com.au favourite for the Group l Canterbury Stakes (1300m) this Saturday at Randwick.

The Te Akau mare went bang at Group l level at Te Rapa back home in New Zealand last time and despite originally heading towards the Newmarket next Saturday, the stable are running her here and punters are all over. $2.90 was the first price and it’s been taken, now into $2.05.

Golden Mile opened $4.80 but with all the support for Imperatriz, he’s on the slide, now at $6. Artorius is similar, out to $7 from $4.80, while Electric Girl has admirers, opening $11 and is now at $9.50.
