An imported galloper makes his debut for the Weir camp in the Ballarat Cup (2200m) this Saturday and the market has him as the horse to beat.
Mr Garcia had his last run for the Andreas Wohler team on Oaks Day over 1800m and he was quite impressive in getting the job done. The step up in trip looks ideal and he has the run under the belt. He’s $3.10 and rock solid.
He holds the call over the Group l class horse Antonio Giuseppe, who is at $5.50 and hasn’t budged. Grey Lion is next best at $6, out from $5.50, followed by Second Bullet, who is $9 out from $8.50.
In terms of value, there has been a couple of decent each way bets roll in for Knowable ($19-$18).
