Houtzen has opened as favourite in McEwen Stakes markets
Houtzen makes her long awaited return to racing this Saturday in the McEwen Stakes (1000m) at the Valley and Sportsbet.com.au has got her clearly at the top of betting.
The Toby Edmonds trained speed demon, who scored a brilliant Magic Millions win on her home track in January, resumes off a sharp trial win and from all reports handled the Valley track nicely on Tuesday. She is $2.40, slightly out from $2.30.
The clear class runner engaged is Russian Revolution. He has trialled up really well for Team Snowden and is the $3.60 second pick. The other speed demon engaged is Heatherly, who was enormous fresh in the Carlyon. She’s $6.00.
Hellbent has had some early interest. He touched $8 from $9 but is back to his opening price.
