Caulfield- Tuesday, April 28, Weather Overcast, Track Soft7.
Heat Two- Amberley (1st):
Unraced filly for John Moloney that trialled terribly in November, but has been given a spell, and looks much bigger and stronger judging by this jump out win. She got away smart to lead most of the way under no pressure, travelling sweetly in the run. Nice win from a filly who should be winning races.
Heat Three- Pandas Turn (2nd):
An unraced filly Ciaron Maher who formerly was trained in Western Australia and interestingly enough trialled okay behind Group l performer Disposition. She jumped out here and looked pretty slick in running second, sitting in that position all the way under a good hold from the rider.
Heat Four- Anatina (6th):
2014 Galaxy runner up that had one run in the Spring and was just fair behind The Messina Nymph. She looks back on target after this pleasing jump out. Though she only finished sixth, she did travel well in the run and wasn’t placed under much pressure from the rider.
Heat Five- Hard Romp (3rd) and Locket (5th):
Hard Romp made the ‘Trial Watch’ file a few weeks ago and duly saluted first up at Flemington. He looks set to win again after an impressive jump out here. He sat three wide on speed throughout and just bolted up in the run. Very impressive. As for Locket, she was set to resume last week but drew wide and was scratched. She tuned up for her return to racing with a pleasing jump out here. She sat off the speed and was niggled late, but was in restricted room. She’s on target to win first up.
