Despite the price being on the blows, She’s Extreme held three times more money than anything else.

Magic ($2.20-$2.80-$2.60) held nearly eight times the money that the winner did.

Rise Of the Masses ($5.50-$6) had his admirers and was third best tried with Sweet Ride ($4.80-$3.90) splitting it and Magic in that regard.

RACE FIVE

One of the most popular wins all day went to Shelby Sixtysix in the City Tattersalls Maurice McCarten Stakes (1100 metres).

Danny Williams’s stable star went up $12 on Wednesday and the rank-and-file punters embraced him, backing him into $7.

Today, he went around with only slightly less money than the race favourites Gravina ($2.70) and Rule Of Law ($3) and jumped a $6 chance.

Ridden a treat by Tommy Berry, Shelby Sixtysix beat Rule Of Law with Gravina holding third. It was a losing result for TAB.

BETS: Shelby Sixtysix $1,500 @ $6, $2,000 @ $5.50, $1,000 @ $5.50, $1,000 @ $5 TWICE

RACE SIX

Mr Mozart caused one of the upsets of the day when he took out the Chandon Phar Lap Stakes (1500 metres).

The Team Hawkes galloper did all the work up front and couldn’t be caught, fending off his rivals to score at $10 on TAB Fixed Odds. Initially he was a $34 chance on Wednesday prior to scratchings.

Fangirl ($1.65) was one of the best tried gallopers anywhere all day. She commanded 67 percent of the total investment and heavily tried through multis.

RACE SEVEN

Stockman was the money horse late in betting leading into the Furphy Sky High Stakes (2000 metres).

Backed in from $5-$4.60 in the final few minutes prior to the jump, Stockman landed some nice bets but held less than half the money that was riding on the runner-up, Mount Popa ($4-$3.60).

Great House ($5-$4.60) also had plenty of admirers in what proved to be a wide open affair.

BETS: Stockman $1,000 @ $5, $2,000 @ $4.80

BETS: Mount Popa $10,000 @ $3.50, $5,000 @ $3.50

RACE EIGHT

Lighthouse was rock solid throughout the afternoon leading up to the Coolmore Classic (1500 metres).

Opening the day at $5, she bottomed out at $4.80 before starting a $5 second pick behind Espiona ($3.20).

The pair were easily the most popular runners in the race, with 52 percent of the market riding between them.

Expat ($6.50) was the only other runner to hold six figures with TAB Fixed Odds while Promise Of Success ($8.50-$10-$9) and Hinged ($8.50-$9) had admirers at the price.

BETS: Lighthouse $3,000 @ $5, $1,000 @ $5 MULTIPLE TIMES

BETS: Espiona $3,000 @ $3.10

BETS: Expat $3,250 @ $6.50

RACE NINE

Taksu was backed with confidence heading into the Vale Alan Brown AM Handicap (1350 metres).

The Joe Pride galloper went around with more money than anything else in the race, with only Ma And Pa ($6.50) and Sindacato ($4.80) the only other runners to hold six figures with TAB Fixed Odds.

Taksu ($3.60-$2.70) firmed throughout the day and was an extremely popular anchor for multi players.

BETS: Taksu $10,000 @ $2.70

RACE TEN

Rosseau won a thrilling Cerrone Handicap (1900 metres).

The Chris Waller galloper went around as an $11 chance and was mainly a drifter throughout the week. Initially, he opened at $6.50.

Most of the attention was on Zoumon ($3.70) who held twice as much money as the next best backed runner, which was Benaud ($5.50). Not Usual Glorious ($21-$10) was a noted firmer throughout the day.

FLEMINGTON

RACE ONE

Ruthless Dame prevented TAB from taking a big loss in the opening race – the TBV Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (1200 metres).

Well supported throughout the day, Ruthless Dame ($4.40) jumped second favourite, however, Nanagui ($4 on Wednesday) went around as a popular $3.60 favourite and held more than double the amount of money.

The pair squared off at the finish with Jamie Kah getting the best out of the Tavistock filly.

BETS: Ruthless Dame $1,000 @ $5, $1,000 @ 44.40

RACE TWO

The big money all week was for Flying Mascot in the Penfolds Max’s Rose Matron Stakes (1600 metres).

Opening at $2.90 earlier in the week, Flying Mascot was $2.15 this morning before jumping an even money favourite.

The only horse in the race to hold six figures, the Tavistock mare went around with three times the amount of money than any other runner.

BETS: Flying Mascot $3,777 @ $2.15, $3,000 @ $2.15, $2,000 @ $2.15, $10,000 @ $2, $5,000 @ $2, $2,500 @ $2 TWICE

RACE THREE

Glistening was too good down the straight in the Moomba Plate (1100 metres).

The Richard and Michael Freedman-trained filly was the least popular runner in the race, accounting for just a small percentage of the total hold.

Glistening ($17-$11), ridden by Hugh Bowman, proved too strong for General Beau ($4.80-$7.50-$6.50) and the leader Gimmie Par ($4.40).

Most of the money, however, was with Zarastro ($2.80-$2.40) which held over half the total investment.

RACE FOUR

Letsrollthedice landed some nice investments when proving too good in the MSS Security Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400 metres).

Opening up at $8 on Wednesday when markets were first released, Letsrollthedice was backed into favouritism today and went $4.80-$3.70.

Sir Bailey, which held approximately 70 percent more money, was equal $4.80 fav this morning and jumped at that price, with TAB traders willing to take more of a risk with the Maher & Eustace runner than the winner.

The pair were the only two that held six figures.

Of the rest, Sumatra ($12-$7-$8) and Bonheur ($6.50-$5.50-$6) had admirers at the eachway odds.

BETS: Letsrollthedice $6,000 @ $3.70

RACE FIVE

Barb Raider was too tough for her rivals in the TAB Kewney Stakes (1600 metres).

Her win, under the urgings of Craig Williams, saw the big money on Argentia go by the wayside.

Barb Raider ($9) was a drifter for most of the week thanks to the support for Argentia, which opened $3.20 on Wednesday. Today, it was $3-$2.60 before getting back out to $3.10 at the jump.

Yearning ($4.80-$5-$4) was best tried to beat the fav however, she held less than half of what was riding on Argentia. So You See ($11-$8.50) was nibbled throughout the afternoon and was unlucky not to finish closer than fourth.

Mokulua, which ran third, was $31-$23 late.

BETS: Barb Raider $1,000 @ $8.50, $1,000 e/w @ $8.50/$2.50, $1,000 @ $8

BETS: Argentia $3,500 @ $2.80, $3,320 @ $2.70

RACE SIX

It was a complete blowout in the Yulong Stud Newmarket Handicap (1200 metres).

Despised outsider Roch ‘n’ Horse ($126) took the prize at triple figures with Patrick Moloney enjoying his first Group One.

The Kiwi galloper attracted very little interest from TAB customers and was the least favoured runner.

Home Affairs ($4) went around clearly as the most popular runner in terms of money held, accounting for 29 percent of the market.

Artorius ($11-$9), Quantico ($14-$16-$9.50) were two of the more significant movers while Lost And Running ($3.90-$4.20) and Masked Crusader ($11-$9.50) attracted big money throughout the day.

BETS: Home Affairs $4,000 @ $4.40, $3,500 @ $4, $4,000 @ $3.90, $4,000 @ $3.80

BETS: Masked Crusader $5,050 @ $9

RACE SEVEN

Duais firmed late to win the TAB Australian Cup (2000 metres) and she finished best to land the money for her supporters.

The Ed Cummings-trained mare, giving him his second career Group One, was $9 earlier in the week and today, hovered around the $6.50-$7.50 mark.

Duais ($7) settled in the back half of the field and finished powerfully under Josh Parr to beat Think It Over ($3-$2.80-$3.20) and Spanish Mission ($4.40-$3.70).

Think It Over was clearly the most popular horse in the race in front of Spanish Mission, with that pair accounting for 62 percent of the market.

BETS: Duais $2,000 @ $7

BETS: Spanish Mission $3,000 @ $4.40, $3,000 @ $4, $30,000 @ $3.70

BETS: Think It Over $3,000 @ $3

RACE EIGHT

Kissonallforcheeks had backing all week and landed some nice investments in the Furphy Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap (1400 metres).

TAB went up $6 about the Daniel Morton runner earlier in the week, however, at the start of today just $3.80 was being offered due to the support on Thursday and Friday.

She was a bit soft late and jumped $4.80, equal favourite with Chaillot, who was the only runner to hold more money than her.

Of the others, Morvada ($10-$8) was backed eachway late while Rock ($19-$16-$18) had his fans at the double figures.

BETS: Kissonallforcheeks $2,000 e/w @ $3.90/$1.80

BETS: Rock $3,000 e/w @ $17/$4.60

RACE NINE

The most popular runner all day, anywhere across the country, was carrying the hopes of most punters in the Cirka Plate (1400 metres).

Unfortunately for her backers, Cardigan Queen ($2.70-$2.40-$2.60) couldn’t get out at the right time and flashed home to be nosed out by Fortunate Kiss ($10). Cardigan Queen was responsible for 60 percent of the total investment.

BETS: Cardigan Queen $5,000 @ $2.30
