A drying track has prompted punters to come with a fresh wave of bets for Golden Slipper favourite Sepoy.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said the Blue Diamond winner had firmed from $3.50 to $3.40 during Saturday morning.
“We’ve taken bets including $15,000 and $10,000 at $3.50 during Saturday morning after the favourite had been ignored by punters in the days leading up to the race,†said Sullivan.
“A drying track is right up Sepoy’s alley and punters seem to have re-assessed the race at the last minute.â€
Smart Missile retains second favouritism for the Slipper at $4.40 ahead of Foxwedge at $8.50.
